Established since 981, when Prince Volodymyr the Great secured the lands along the Sian River and beyond the Buh River, it become form 1015 as feudal dominion of Grand Duke Saint Vladimir of the House of Princes of of Kiev, and from 1030 Volhynia was the battleground of Polish-Rus’ wars. And after the death of Yaroslav the Wise (1154) of teh Hous eof Princes of Kiev, it passed under the Iziaslav dynasty (Mstyslav Iziaslavych and Yaroslav Iziaslavych ) which having subordinated the Galician boyars and beaten foreign invaders Roman Mstyslavych established a large state encompassing Volhynia, Galicia, and Kyiv and known as the “Principality of Galicia-Volhynia”. After the Tartar Invasions (1242) and the Golden Horde, it was the absorbed as province in the Russin Empire, after with various changing of dominion, (including Poland and the Absburg, which included Lodomeria) until the fall of the Russian and the Austro-Ungaric Empire (at the end of first world war. After the USSR period its territory belongs now to Ukraine
Re-established by the House of Kiev, Tchernigov and Karatchev (as Titular possessor of the Dynastic Rights on the Grand Duchy of Volhynia, Galicia and Lodomeria, since 1015) as moral entity, Subject of International Right, according to European Regulation on Civil Judgment in accordance with Articles 32, 33 and 36 of the Lugano Convention of 30 October 2007 on the Jurisdiction and the Enforcement of Judgments Decisions in Civil matters.
